Hippy Market Punta Arabí, the oldest market in Ibiza, will bid farewell to the season on Wednesday 29 October, with more than 400 craft stalls and its own dining area, where a range of food trucks will serve something for every taste. Considered one of the Balearic Islands’ leading multicultural venues since 1973, this market, open every Wednesday from 10:00 to 18:00, is bringing to a close a year full of new developments. These include the opening of FERGUS Style Punta Arabí, the new hotel through whose streets the largest market in the Pityusic Islands runs. After a warm reception from the public, the hotel will end its first season this Sunday, 19 October, and promises to keep working to improve the experience at this unique venue from April 2026.
Located in Es Canar, Hippy Market Punta Arabí combines history and modernity and hosts hundreds of stalls that have made it an essential visit for residents and tourists. In this iconic place, they can find everything from original souvenirs to unique pieces, with prices to suit all tastes and budgets. Crafts, costume jewellery, accessories, clothing, home décor and natural and organic cosmetics sit alongside local liqueurs and sustainable items made from recycled materials such as tyres or plastic, among many other products, perfectly reflecting the artistic and cosmopolitan mix of the Pityusic Islands. “Some artisans have been part of our family for 20, 30 or 40 years, season after season, and many people visit us every year, creating that special magic that brings us together,” says Avhempa, the association representing the market’s vendors. “2025 has been especially exciting because we have seen the facilities and streets where our market comes to life every Wednesday renovated. So, if any residents or tourists have not yet discovered us, we believe these final weeks are the perfect time to do so,” the association adds.
The market also offers a variety of dining options from several food trucks, delighting visitors as they immerse themselves in the vibrant, artistic and musical atmosphere of this unique venue.
Hippy Market Punta Arabí is not only part of Ibiza’s history: it also offers an unforgettable experience for the whole family, with a children’s area featuring workshops for younger visitors and face painting. “We want to revive the tradition of Ibizan residents visiting our market, to remind people that we are more Ibiza than ever. That is why we hope you will all visit us this month to celebrate art and crafts together,” Avhempa concludes.
