FERGUS Style Punta Arabí will open its doors this season at this legendary venue, with three restaurants of its own, offering a unique lifestyle experience
This iconic market in Es Canar has been one of Ibiza’s leading multicultural venues since 1973 and an unmissable destination for residents and tourists every Wednesday
Hippy Market Punta Arabí, known as the hub of Es Canar and one of the most iconic markets in Ibiza and the Balearic Islands, is preparing for a memorable season starting on Wednesday 7 May, alongside FERGUS Style Punta Arabí, this established hotel group’s new property. “We are really looking forward to sharing with our visitors the work done by the more than 400 artisans with stalls at this market, and we cannot wait to surprise you every Wednesday,” says Paola Podestá, president of Avhempa, the association representing the market’s vendors. “Our visitors will find many new features, both in the new surroundings and in the music programme, as we are the only market offering live music every week with different artists from the island,” adds Podestá. She also highlights that the new hotel will have several restaurants open to the public, “which will further enrich the Hippy Market experience”.

FERGUS Style Punta Arabí is a four-star hotel, recommended for adults, that will recapture the island’s traditional spirit, offering an enhanced lifestyle experience in a unique setting. It is scheduled to open in mid-May.
With white villas among pine groves, three restaurants and bars that blend into the Mediterranean landscape, this new hotel hosts the iconic Hippy Market of Es Canar along its streets, giving visitors the chance to enjoy a cultural and artistic setting.
“Last year, we were already championing our market as ‘more Ibiza than ever’, and this year we want to continue celebrating that fully immersive experience,” Podestá emphasises.

Hippy Market Punta Arabí, more Ibiza than ever
Hippy Market Punta Arabí stands out for its wide and varied offering, ranging from handcrafted costume jewellery, accessories, clothing and natural and organic cosmetics to local liqueurs, such as traditional hierbas ibicencas, and sustainable items made from recycled materials such as tyres or plastic, among many other products.
“Hippy Market Punta Arabí is Ibiza’s most comprehensive market and the one that best suits visitors’ budgets, because it offers products at every price,” says the market vendors’ representative. This diversity ensures that each visitor “finds something special to take home, whether a traditional souvenir or an innovative eco-friendly product,” she adds.
Music is another of the great attractions of this multicultural venue for the whole family, as is gastronomy: this year, it will once again have its own dining area, where visitors can enjoy the range of food offered by several food trucks.
Hippy Market Punta Arabí has not only been “a witness to the passing of time, but has also evolved with it, combining the experience of traders who have been here almost since the beginning with the fresh energy of new vendors who join this community each year,” Podestá explains. This blend of tradition and renewal keeps the market “always current”, offering “a unique experience for both regulars and first-time visitors”.
Santa Eulària des Riu Town Council has highlighted the importance of this venue as the hub of Es Canar and invited residents and tourists to discover what is new at this legendary market in 2025, describing it as “an ideal activity to enjoy as a family after a day at the beach”.
